The Moroccan Ministry of Infrastructure and Transport has defined the details of a plan to boost the country’s road, rail, port and airport infrastructure.
The highway network will be doubled from the current l,800 to 3,500 km – and another 7,000 km of ordinary roads will be built.
To the 200 km of high-speed railways currently being built will be added another 1,500.
There will be five new ports and in the air travel sector 8 heavy-traffic airports will be enlarged and a new one built in Marrakech.
Completion of these projects – with overall ,investments worth 58 billion euros is expected by 2035.
